Upper Sûre Lake is an artificial lake created by the damming of the Sûre River to provide an accessible drinking water supply for the country. Most of the lake is open for recreational purposes, and is now a very popular place for swimming, fishing, yachting, and canoeing.

S.E.B.E.S. is the Water Authority of the Esch-sur-Sûre Dam and is responsible for treating the water from behind the dam to make it safe for human consumption.

ARBED is the largest industrial company in the country and operates four steel plants in Luxembourg. It employs over 10,000 people and accounts for around 15% of the gross domestic product of the Grand Duchy. This stamp shows the administrative headquarters of ARBED on the Avenue de la Liberté across from the Place des Martyrs. It was built from 1919-22 by architects René Théry of Brussels and Sosthène Weis of Luxembourg.
